The Sailendra was powerful and ruled an agriculural nation on the island of Java. The kings, left another of the world's best architectual monuments, the Buddhist temple at Borobudur. This reflect strong Indian influence. The Buddhist temple at Brobudur was built in around 800 and was built with 9 terraced levels, almost like a stepped pyramid. They eventually fell, due to the power of the Srivijaya empire.
